We would like to announce the 2024 Ontario Clydesdale Club Ambassador - Claire Schipper!  

Please give Claire a warm welcome when you see her on the show circuit this fall.

Meet our Ambassador - Claire Schipper

Claire is from the small town of Amherstberg, Ontario and has been

fortunate to work with the Wismer Clydes and their beautiful horses. She

represented the Ontario Clydesdale Club as ambassador in 2023 and is

back for a second term in 2024. Here’s what Claire has been up to.

“This fall I am going to be starting my second year at

the University of Windsor for Biomedical Sciences

where I plan to then go onto the University of Guelph

for Veterinary Medicine. I am currently working at North

42 Estate Winery in Colchester, Ontario as a wine taster,

which means I consult with customers about our wines

and help them find the wines they like. On top of

working at the winery I am volunteering at Fort Malden

Animal Hospital in Amherstburg where I get the

privilege of observing and learning about all things

pertaining to small animals from Dr. Kim Quinn and all

the amazing staff there. And of course I am out at the

Wismer Clydes farm on my days off working with the

horses and getting them ready for show season where

I will be helping with the hitch and potentially

participating in the Ladies cart and team classes too!”
