Announcing the 2025 Ontario Clydesdale Club Ambassador - Rowan Timmons!

My name is Rowan Timmons. I am 17 years old, and I am in grade 11 at Westdale Secondary school. I spend most of my time with sports, specifically volleyball, academics, horse showing and spending time with friends and family. I've been a part of the Clydesdale community since 2018 when I participated in my first show at Ancaster. Ever since then, I have been competing in shows as big as the World Show in Brandon, Manitoba in 2023. As Ambassador, I hope to continue my showing career and take my involvement in the community to the next level.

    My first three months as Ambassador have been spent planning and preparing for the upcoming season. I’ve been given the opportunity to express my ideas and thoughts on many topics that affect the Clydesdale community. My goal is to bring these ideas and topics to create an Instagram account showcasing and focusing on youth engagement. In addition to my Ambassador duties, I have had the pleasure to meet and welcome a newborn filly foal to our mare Fiona during the month of March, and I am excited to see where her training takes her. In terms of training, I am also looking forward to the upcoming show season and have been working on perfecting my decorating skills as well as my showing skills to be ready for some upcoming shows. For the upcoming show season, my goal is to represent the Club at as many shows as possible starting with Navan. Other shows I hope to attend include Paris Fair, Lindsay Fair, The World Clydesdale Show, Norfolk Fair, Rockton, The Triple Crown, The Royal and hopefully many more!
